¨The leadership of the country of Uganda, home once of the infamous Idi Amin, has proposed the death penalty for "aggravated homosexuality." It's just life for touching someone with " the intention of committing the act of homosexuality”.

In prohibiting the “promotion of homosexuality,” the bill would not only bar political activity on behalf of gay rights, but would also require anyone learning the identity of a sexually active gay person to report that information within 24 hours, or face a stiff fine or jail time.

Take the bad and make it better. But there are no maybes for the gay men of Uganda. There is only the prospect of brutal punishment. As long as those sanctions exist, as long as our brothers suffer, we are all Ugandans.¨ HERE

¨Jaheem was bullied relentlessly, his family said. Keene said the family knew the boy was a target, but until his death they didn’t understand the scope.


“We’d ask him, ‘Jaheem, what’s wrong with you?’” Keene recalled. “He’d never tell us.”

He didn’t want his sister to tell, either. She witnessed much of the bullying, and many times rose to her brother’s defense, Keene said.

“They called him gay and a snitch,” his stepfather said. “All the time they’d call him this.”

The 11-year-old enjoyed dancing and drawing, and the easy smile he flashed for the photographers was genuine, his stepfather said Monday night.

¨Scott Lively is going to be in Temecula next week at the invitation of the Murrietta Temecula Republican Assembly. They were going to hold their meeting at the Temeku Hills Country Club, but had to change venues due to threats of protests. When I find out where they WILL be, I will blog the time/location. Scott Lively is the author of a book called The Pink Swastika, in which he revises the history of the holocaust to say that gays were the motivating force behind the Shoah.


Scott Lively is the leader of the Abiding Truth ministries, and the California chapter of the American Family Association (remember Don Wildmon?).


Scott Lively attacked a lesbian woman in 1992 while she was filming a documentary. He dragged her by the hair. She sued him for damages and won.

Scott Lively is the founder of the hate group The Watchmen on the Walls, which he founded in Latvia during his missionary work in that country. The Christian evangelical group is radically anti-gay and active in California and other West Coast areas where there is a large Russian immigrant community. Several young men affiliated with this group are responsible for the murder of a Sacramento area gay man.¨
