SLAYING THE BEAST? ¨Foreign aid for countries with anti-gay rights records to be slashed¨

United Kingdom: ¨David Cameron has pledged to slash aid to African countries with poor records on homosexual rights.¨
The Prime Minister will tell struggling nations they will receive funding ‘fines’ if persecution of gays continues.

The Government has already cut aid to Malawi by £19million after two gay men were sentenced to 14 years hard labour. The southern African nation also plans to bring in tough anti-lesbian laws.

Malawi has received £200million from Britain over the past three years.

International Development Secretary Andrew Mitchell could also reduce aid to Uganda and Ghana unless they drop laws against gays.

Uganda, which is due to receive £70million in 2011, plans to punish homosexuality with the death penalty...¨  please read it all, HERE

NOOSE AROUND ¨GAY NECKS¨ LOOSENED IN UGANDA: Anglican MP David Bahati´s ¨Anti-Homosexuality¨ bill ignored by Parliament Business Committee

¨Today Uganda's Parliament Business Committee discussed topics to be brought before the Parliament in the next quarter. The Anti-Homosexuality Bill of 2009 was not included.

Frank Mugisha, Executive Director at Sexual Minorities Uganda, monitored the situation at Parliament today. He provided a brief report on Facebook.

There is no SIGN at all that the bill will be discussed today , and it does not appear on the order paper of parliamentary business today, will watch parliament and keep you updated , however information is that the bill can not be debated in a 2nd reading it has to be reintroduced and has to go through all the initial stages...¨ HERE

BIGOTS BEWARE/KEEP OUT: ++OROMBI/OKHO, DAVID BAHATI and ABUSIVE GLOBAL SOUTH GRANDSTANDING OPPORTUNISTS AT THE ANGLICAN COMMUNION

Attn: Dangerous/thieving Two Faced ¨evangelical¨ bigots at The Anglican Communion, Norwich Cathedral vault festoon
¨President Obama issued a proclamation HERE on Thursday that could prohibit those engaging in LGBT persecution overseas from entering the United States.

The proclamation bars entry of immigrant and non-immigrant aliens who organize or participate in war crimes or serious violations of human rights — which could include those seeking to pass legislation in Uganda that would institute the death penalty for homosexual acts.

“The United States’ enduring commitment to respect for human rights and humanitarian law requires that its Government be able to ensure that the United States does not become a safe haven for serious violators of human rights and humanitarian law and those who engage in other related abuses,” Obama states.

Specific language in the proclamation explicitly states that those who persecute people based on their “sexual orientation and gender identity” are among the categories of those who won’t be able to enter the United States.

Additionally, the proclamation prevents not only those who perpetuated human rights abuses overseas from entering the United States, but also those who have “attempted or conspired to do so.”

“The proclamation also bans admission to the United States for those who are complicit in organizing these abuses — not just those who carry them out,” a White House fact sheet states. “As such, it allows the United States to act before planned abuses and atrocities metastasize into actual ones.”

The proclamation gives the secretary of state, or the secretary’s designee, the authority to identify people who won’t be able to enter the United States based on this new guidance.

However, other language in the proclamation states that such an individual could enter the country if the secretary of state determines that the “entry of such person would be in the interests of the United States.”

Mark Bromley, chair of the Council for Global Equality, said the order gives the Obama administration “an important tool to use in dissuading extremist actions that are prejudicial to basic human rights, and in encouraging the development of inclusive laws and societies.”

“The Council praises this move, which could in principle be used to justify the exclusion of hate-promoting politicians like Ugandan parliamentarian David Bahati, who introduced a ‘kill the gays bill’ in a previous legislative session in Uganda and may do so again,” Bromley said. “That bill, of course, would have carried dire consequences for LGBT individuals in Uganda.”

Bahati was previously invited to attend the National Prayer Breakfast in February 2010, but was later disinvited by organizers and didn’t make an appearance after he introduced his draconian anti-gay bill.¨  please read it all, HERE

Rep. Barney Frank (D-MA) has issued a statement condemning Uganda’s moves against the LGBT community

“I’m disturbed by the news that Uganda is considering going ahead with a measure that denies the humanity of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people.”

“I was pleased when the Financial Services Committee overwhelmingly, in a bipartisan way, voted in favor of my amendment urging the Secretary of the Treasury to oppose any financial assistance from multilateral development institutions to countries that persecute people on the basis of their sexual orientation, gender identity or religious beliefs. In the discussion of the amendment I offered, I specifically mentioned the deeply troubling case of Uganda, which is now considering legislation to legally deprive people of these basic human rights.”

“If the bill before the Ugandan parliament becomes law, it must be the policy of the United States government to oppose any aid to Uganda from the World Bank, the African Development Bank, or any other international financial institution of which we are a member.” HERE

Archbishop of Canterbury on the Ugandan Anti-Homosexuality Bill

Tuesday 10th May 2011

The Archbishop of Canterbury is very concerned at the news that the proposed ‘Anti-Homosexuality Bill’ is once again under consideration by the Ugandan Parliament. Dr Williams wishes to reiterate his views, first expressed in December 2009:

"Overall, the proposed legislation is of shocking severity and I can't see how it could be supported by any Anglican who is committed to what the Communion has said in recent decades. Apart from invoking the death penalty, it makes pastoral care impossible - it seeks to turn pastors into informers." HERE

INQUISITION/LYNCH MOB GATHERS MOMENTUM IN UGANDA: The ¨Gay¨ hating murder campaign is now recruiting superstitious, undereducated, bigots, thugs and political/religious degenerates

Anglican MP David ¨Kill all the Gays¨ Bahati, author of anti-LGBTI legislation in Uganda
¨Yes, while we were asleep, a huge anti-gay campaign is happening.

Pastor Martin ¨Gays eat poop¨ Ssempa insists that killing Gays will stop the spread of HIV
The anti-gay pastors handed a 2Million signature petition to parliament just this week? Yes, they did. And, Pastor Martin 'eat da poo poo' Ssempa has been in parliament with slide shows. Not of gay porn, but, apparently to showcase the fact that the bill will help in preventing the spread of HIV. Because it is going to stop homosexuality in Uganda.

Anglican Archbishop Orombi/Uganda allowed a speaker promoting ¨The Anti-Homosexuality bill should become law¨ this morning at Anglican Church service in Kampala
Grave Danger Alert: Ugandan fear-hatemongers are canvassing Uganda with fresh lies and slander promoting hate crimes against LGBTI citizens

No. I am not kidding you.

And, speakers are fanning out all over the country. Schools. FM stations. And TVs.

What is happening?

That infamous bill was presented in this parliament. The international reaction was strong, and, it led to the government withdrawing support for the bill.

Now, elections for a new parliament happened. And, Bahati would have to present the bill again, in the next parliament, if it lapses in this parliament.

So, Bahati and co are doing a campaign. Pressure the outgoing parliament to make the bill law.

And, they are stirring up lots of dust. And, they have the strength of numbers.

This parliament has until May to conclude its business.

Should I be worried?

Well, the bill demands the death penalty for such as me. Serial offenders. Of course, life imprisonment when caught on a first offence. And, of course, this blog is a promotion of homosexuality. Which the bill criminalises...please read it all,  HERE

UPDATE: US Department of State: Religious Fundamentalism at Heart of Uganda's Human Rights Problem

"participants openly threatened LGBT individuals."
¨The United States Department of State submitted its annual Country Reports on Human Rights Practices to the Speaker of the House of Representatives and the Committee on Foreign Relations of the Senate as required by law for "countries that receive assistance" among others. The Uganda Report addresses the religious fundamentalism at the heart of Uganda's human rights problem.

The Uganda Report specifically mentions the rallies conducted by religious fundamentalists like Pastor Martin Ssempa where "participants openly threatened LGBT individuals." MP David Bahati and former Ethics and Integrity Minister Nsaba James Buturo are also mentioned by name. The report states emphatically that the Anti-Homosexuality Bill of 2009 violates "the Ugandan constitution and international law." please read it all HERE

Anglican Bishop Christopher Ssenyonjo, LGBTI spiritual advisor in Uganda
Authentic ¨GOOD NEWS¨ -- Retired Uganda bishop speaks at UN, calls for global decriminalization of homosexuality:

¨Retired Anglican Bishop Christopher Senyonjo, an outspoken activist for human rights and equality in Uganda, delivered a presentation at the United Nations in New York on April 8 calling for the global decriminalization of homosexuality as a way to make progress in the HIV/AIDS pandemic.

"The criminalization of homosexuality remains the most significant barrier that needs to be dismantled to reduce the spread of AIDS," said Senyonjo, during a panel discussion that formed part of an informal interactive hearing at the U.N. "We need to make our laws and agreements more binding. We need to ask if our laws or beliefs help or prevent the spread of HIV and hinder or support families caring for loved ones."

Senyonjo noted that more than 80 countries still criminalize homosexuality "and see it as a crime against God and nature. Denying people their humanity puts us all at risk because AIDS spreads fast in the darkness of ignorance." HERE

LINE FORMS AT THE REAR: GAYS ¨MADE IN UGANDA¨ GET PAID MONTHLY SALARIES / GAY UGANDANS OUGHT BE PAID TO BECOME HETEROSEXUAL INSTEAD!

Does HE or doesn´t SHE? Only Her/His Banker knows for certain!
¨In a disgusting new twist to the anti-gay fervor that has swept Uganda, The Daily Monitor
HERE  reports that Makerere University student leaders said in a meeting with the chairman of the committee handling the Anti-Homosexuality Bill that recruitment of gays was rampant at the university campus. The students told Mr. Tashobya (in charge of the committee) that each of their colleagues who join homosexuals is paid a monthly salary of Shs800, 000.

I have no idea how much Ugandan money that is — but it sounds like some serious coin. We also know, due to reality and common sense, that this allegation is pure propaganda and utterly false. Exactly, who is paying these students? Until there is proof, such allegations should not be made and those putting forth such lies should be punished.

I’m still in shock. In one of the most anti-gay nations on earth — gays are getting salaries. Do they have to take out taxes for such services?

Seriously, what next, accusations that gay people roast children and eat them for snacks?

I’m not trying to be judgmental — but the anti-gay Ugandan legislators sound remarkably ignorant. How uniformed (particularly in the Internet age) does one have to be to believe such bile? Or maybe raw hatred makes some people blind to the complete incoherence and idiocy of the arguments put forth by supporters of the Anti-Homosexuality Bill.¨
HERE

Are Anglican Archbishop Henry Orombi and anti-lgbti Anglicans/others remarkably ignorant?
Archbishop Orombi, Anglican MP David Bahati, Rev Martin Ssempa ought outbid the devil of their very own faking and put their money where their mouths are and SAVE some LGBTI Souls!

Quick ¨fix¨ monetary resources available:  Ugandan OIL (newly discovered)  and/or BIG BANK DEPOSITS (from American Evangelical bigots) should be immediately used to pay LGBTI Ugandans to make them into HETEROSEXUALS!  That´ll fix ´em! Praise the Lord! Sounds like a wonderful spiritual investment and a clear moral final solution to enhance the all-around-sexual-readjustment/peace-of-mind program/pogrom needed amongst the sexually obsessed heterosexuals who persecute the lgbti  innocents of Uganda! Ugandan National integrity will no doubt immediately improve after ¨Gays¨ start gett´n them cashola deposits monthly and move away from all that imagined sinn´n and start shack´n up with the opposite sex (multiple marriages are available in Uganda/double or triple your monthly income)! Anglican David Bahati, Rev Martin Ssempa and Bishop Henry Luke Orombi (¨spiritual advisor¨ to David Bahati) ought start outbidding the devil and become financially accountable for their own tiresome slandering and ignorant pontificating against the same sex attracted of Kampala and beyond!  Pay now, buy the lie later!

MP DAVID BAHATI´S BLOOD QUEST: Demonizing rhetoric and dehumanizing ideology against LGBTI Anglicans/others will have grave consequences in Uganda

Will there never be enough injustice directed toward LGBTI citizens to satiate the pride driven and blood thirsty sadistic monster MP David ¨kill all the Gays¨ Bahati (Anglican Archbishop Henry Orombi is his ¨spiritual advisor¨)?

Uganda's NTV television network is reporting that consideration of the Anti-Homosexuality Bill of 2009 will commence next week. According to the report, "MPs in the 8th Parliament want it debated and passed before their term expires in May this year."

MP David Bahati, lead sponsor of the bill, is lobbying to make sure the bill clears committee and is passed in the Parliament.

I’ll be working with my colleagues to talk to other members of Parliament to ensure that this bill is debated and concluded before we close the Eighth Parliament...We are working with religious leaders, we are working with people in the legal fraternity, we are working with parents and schools.

Departing Minister for Ethics and Integrity Dr. James Nsaba Buturo has also been lobbying for the passage of the bill.

I ask you to put pressure on Parliament to debate to amend the Anti-Homosexuality Bill where necessary and to pass a law.

The NTV report correctly describes the penalties in the current, unamended version of the bill. Persons committing aggravated homosexuality will be sentenced to death. The bill also includes penalties for anyone promoting homosexuality in Uganda. HERE

Henry Luke Orombi, Anglican Archbishop of Uganda excommunicated Bishop Christopher Ssenyonjo for offering spiritual comfort to LGBTI Ugandans who were battered, cast out of from their homes/society and suicidal.  Bishop Henry now wishes to legalize the further punishment of anyone offering counseling or spiritual/emotional support to LGBTI Ugandans and their families/friends.
PLEASE READ AND MAKE YOURSELF AWARE OF THE ENTIRE BILL, click here Bill No 18 Anti Homosexuality Bill 2009

GAY IN UGANDA/PART THREE: ¨My anger fuelled my writing and blogging....I found like-minded ´activists´ intent on doing something about the world of lies that we lived in...¨

¨...we are both gay and Ugandan without a doubt. And, we are survivors, which must count for something, right?¨
Finding a Voice

It started slowly for me. Maybe it does for all of us. Once I was convinced that I was not bad because I loved my man, it was a simple logical jump to the fact that I had been deceived, for a good part of my life by those who said that to be gay was in itself bad. I was angry, and the anger was stoked, carefully. My love of books had led me to more introspection. I realized that there was much that I didn’t know, that what I had taken to be immutable truths were in fact no more than the ill-informed opinions of a few idiots. The coming of the Internet to Uganda was like being thrown into the world's biggest library.

I was angered by what I learned.

But my partner, not as involved as I was at the time, urged caution, reminding me that we were together. Risking my own exposure meant I risked his life too. And in Uganda, the probable consequences of exposure for kuchus are frightening.

¨...in Uganda the probable cosequences of exposure for kuchus are frightening.¨
My anger fuelled my writing and blogging. It was channelled into other things as well. I found like-minded “activists” intent on doing something about the world of lies that we lived in.

Being gay in Uganda is tough. Being a gay activist in Uganda is much tougher.

But the anger helped, and so did the fact that my lover was soon joining me in our activist struggle. Incensed by the seemingly unrelenting assault on us by both familiar and anonymous Ugandans, we started fighting back, if only to save our sanity. Yes, more and more people came to know that we were gay, covertly, and overtly. We have been outed a number of times in the newspapers, a risk that we ran because we were activists. “We can’t hide forever,” we opined, and continued along on our dangerous path.

My parents eventually learned the truth. I was surprised when, about three years ago, my dad came to warn us that the police had been told to arrest homosexuals. He couldn't say the words, just motioned to my partner and me.

That was his way of telling us that he knew. And, once I got enough courage to talk to him, I was met with an uncompromising demand. He needed a child from me, preferably male, to serve as an heir to the family line. Later, finding that I was not heeding his demand, even after numerous reminders and hints, he dropped his expectations—at least give him a girl child, he begged.

Meanwhile, my increasing identification with the shadowy homosexual groups was becoming more and more apparent. It got to the point when I felt I had to tell my brothers, at least some of them, that I was gay. No need to hide any longer.

Not so, said my father, now worried that the common knowledge that I was gay would undo a lifetime of his work. He is a clan leader, a respected elder in our community, and the shame that was mine would be visited upon him, he told me.

Oh, well. Tough.

I am glad that we agreed to disagree ... or is it that I was just the more stubborn of the two? I had feared telling him but, as a matter of fact, in these, his declining years, my Dad does not seem to mind so much anymore. Even the demands for a child have dropped, though I plan to have one ... although how this will happen remains uncertain right now.

An Uncertain Future

The activism of my partner and I has propelled us more and more into the spotlight. When the head of the Uganda AIDS Commission accepted that gay men existed in Uganda, stigmatizing us as one of the ”drivers” of the HIV epidemic, and then said that the government had no plans to tackle HIV prevention in gay people, we were part of the group that stormed the Implementers Meeting, an international health conference. (The late activist David Kato was with us.) Three of us were arrested, jailed, and prosecuted.1 It was only after the AIDS 2008 Conference in Mexico City, after the country came under much ridicule by the international community, that the case was finally dropped.

In 2009 three American evangelists came to Uganda to teach about the evils of the “Homosexual Agenda.” We organized a group to hear this, the latest upsurge in hate speech and lies about our sexuality. And, after that, in October 2009 came the infamous Anti-Homosexuality Bill in the Ugandan parliament.

Anglican MP David ¨Kill all the Gays¨ Bahati -- author of the Anti-Homosexuality Bill before the Parliament of Uganda
Reading the text of the bill, I remarked to my partner that, according to the proposed law, we deserved the death penalty. Well, we are “serial offenders,” aren’t we? That was the lowest ebb in our lives. I remember that I felt the worst kind of despair. There was even something called the “homosexual touch”—as if our touch could spread homosexuality like a disease. We are lepers, to be shunned. The only thing good for us was death or life imprisonment: that is what our countrymen thought of us.

That crisis was weathered, in a way: the bill stalled in parliament and we breathed a sigh of relief. Prematurely, it turned out, because this is Uganda, and gay people like us cannot be left in peace.

The Rolling Stone newspaper soon started its campaign outing gay Ugandans like never before, calling for our hanging and arrest. It was different from usual—this time our pictures were featured in the rag, captioned with what most Ugandans believed we deserved: “Hang Them.”

Anglican David Kato.  ¨At his burial, a preacher felt that it was his right to warn the crowd about the death that awaited all homos¨
David Kato was one of the three activists who dared to take the paper to court. He and his fellow plaintiffs won. The law was blind to the fact that he was gay, though the accused were ready to show proof. He paid the ultimate price, bludgeoned to death in his own home. With glee, those who had recently called for his hanging swiftly labelled his murder a robbery or an incident of “gay on gay” bashing, and accused him, even in death, of the usual crimes of “recruiting” gay men or of being gay for money.

At his burial, a preacher felt that it was his right to warn the crowd about the death that awaited all homos. Well, we are kuchus. The microphone was snatched from the preacher's hands while he was at full harangue, and we continued on to bury our fallen comrade.

Yes, it is tough, being gay, and Ugandan.

But, we are both gay and Ugandan without a doubt. And, we are survivors, which must count for something, right? HERE

INCITING MURDER IN UGANDA: Uganda's leadership is driven by a extremist "Christian" movement that believes gays are possessed by demons and must be destroyed...

Ugandan Brenda Namigadde,  threatened by David Bahati ¨repent or reform¨ (or else be ¨punished¨)
¨On January 28, with the world in a flurry over whether the UK would deport Ugandan refugee Brenda Namigadde back to certain death in Uganda, few reasonable people were doubting the criminal culpability of extremist religious righters who preach death to those they hate.

Anglican and MP David ¨kill all the Gays¨  HERE Bahati  orders  Brenda Namigadde to ¨repent or reform¨
Uganda is a glaring example of how that perilous preaching works -- its deadly domino effect. The country's extremist threats to Brenda in far-off England were aimed from the same threat machine that caused the murder of gay activist David Kato right in Uganda. David Bahati, extremist MP who sponsored the country's anti-gay bill, publicly called on Brenda to "repent or reform" from being a lesbian, and said she would be punished if she didn't.

Ugandan Anglican David Kato, Murdered (aledgedly destroyed
due to  ¨demon possession¨)
Despite police allegations that Kato was killed by a burglar, the fact is this: Uganda's leadership is driven by a extremist "Christian" movement that believes gays are possessed by demons and must be destroyed. Kato's murder was the logical repercussion of Bahati's law, and of government, media and church bigotry.

With Brenda, that bigotry is now on a roll. No wonder Uganda is billed as "the world's worst country to live in if you're gay."

President Museveni and First Lady/MP Janet ¨"In God's word, homosexuality attracts a curse¨ Museveni HERE
In turn, Uganda bigotry is incited by extremist Americans like Scott Lively, Rick Warren and Lou Engle, as well as various Congressmembers. These, and others, have visited Uganda. They have politicked there, converted Uganda's president and his influential wife, and openly supported the growth of a lethal anti-gay policy there. Bahati hauled his anti-gay bill into Parliament as a direct result of the Americans' activities.

Here in the U.S., we have our own home-grown Bahatis who incite violence against gays and other groups as well. For 30 years now, they've been brazenly building their nationwide falling-domino machine, inciting murder of certain U.S. citizens. And they've been exporting their hate speech to other countries through missionary work.

So far, the American people have let them get away with it...read it all, HERE
