ATTN Christian Hate Spewers : ¨Every single drop of blood shed by LGBT people, either through suicide, bashing, or murder, is on the hands of homophobic clergy...

"Cultural prejudice has not only succeeded in making most heterosexuals hate gays; it has succeeded in making most gay people hate themselves" Randy Shilts

¨I wholeheartedly agree with this quote from the late Randy Shilts, but I would add that it is cultural prejudice, fueled and reinforced by religious prejudice against LGBT people, spewed by all too many clergy who have vilified Gay people from their pulpits, that has spawned this hate by their justification of that hate and discrimination, that frequently leads to vilification, bashings and murders of LGBT people.

As I've written and spoken of before: Every single drop of blood shed by LGBT people, either through suicide, bashing, or murder, is on the hands of homophobic clergy, professing Christians who in any way support them, and those who remain silent in the face of such ungodly, hateful rhetoric and discrimination, that has others loathing Gay people, and has even many Gay people loathing themselves.

This self-loathing either causes many Gays to lead lives of quiet or not so quiet desperation, some going so far as to kill themselves, believing the lie that they have been told by these clergy and many other professing Christians, that God doesn't love them, or approve of their relationships. Also, many LGBT people commit suicide on the installment plan by engaging in risk-taking behaviors, drug abuse, alcoholism, and the like, as manifestations of their shame and self-loathing.

Always remember that just because someone calls him/herself a Christian, or has his/her collar turned around, doesn't necessarily make that person a Christian! Just because one goes to church every single day doesn't necessarily make him/her a Christian!  please read it all, HERE

THE LIARS CLUB -- KENYA:¨Religious movements and African religious leaders deny they’re inciting hate crimes against homosexuals...Part Two

They say they encourage an attitude of “love the sinner but hate the sin” Denis Nzioka, Kenya

East African gay rights activist tells of homosexuals’ struggle to belong in a society that condemns them!
Archbishops Henry Orombi/Uganda and Eliud Wabukala/Kenya ¨attack homosexuals in their sermons¨
“All the…religions condemn homosexuality in any form.… So you have these preachers, these bishops, these televangelists, gaining massive followings by violently attacking homosexuals in their sermons,” Nzioka says.

African religious leaders blame ¨Gays¨ for natural disasters
He tells how some Kenyan religious leaders have blamed the country’s gays for natural disasters, saying events like drought are God’s punishment for Kenyans having same-sex relationships. Some Kenyan religious leaders have also organized public protests against gays.

Anti-LGBTI Anglican African Bishops gather at Entebbe, Uganda and condemn homosexuals as ¨evil¨
“Here we have actually had religious leaders visiting gay people’s homes and shouting to the public, ‘This is an evil homosexual house!’”, Nzioka exclaims. “And it’s a bishop, it’s an imam, it’s a sheikh, and they’re the ones leading the people (against gays). So religion is fueling homophobia, is instigating violence, is instigating discrimination.”

Sometimes, he says, Kenyan religious “zealots” are even more overt in their actions against the gay community. Last year, police arrested an evangelical preacher with some grenades in his possession. The suspect told police he intended to bomb the Gay and Lesbian Coalition’s office in Nairobi.
The Lesbian and Gay Coalition members ¨stay together¨ for safety and mutual support in Kenya
“He actually said that he was going to kill homosexuals. And he was asked, for what reason? (He replied) ‘Oh, God said; God said that homosexuals should be killed’.… It’s very shocking, and it’s actually a bomb! It’s not like it’s a knife or a stone.…” says Nzioka, continuing, “So now there’s constant paranoia here. We are never sure when a parcel arrives that it is not a bomb. When we leave the office, we are aware that we may be attacked at any time by some homophobic maniac. It’s very, very scary.” read it all, HERE

ATTN ANGLICAN GLOBAL SOUTH/GAFCON: The Raping and Beating Goes On in Africa--as you proudly preach ¨Selective Scriptural¨ demonizing/marginalizing!

Please support Milly Gaika with your prayers and positive thoughts and hopes for her well-being.
Millicent Gaika was beaten and raped for five hours by a man who told her he wanted to “turn her into a woman”. This week, in an act of extraordinary bravery, Millicent testified in court before her rapist. Ndumie Funda, the director of Luleki Sizwe, described the court appearance.

¨I’ve never been as tired as yesterday; we arrived at Wynberg Court at 8.30am ~ Millicent was ready to take the stand, and was called in at 10am; we were not allowed to enter the court as they said the journalists were going to write a false story. I then spoke to Millicent about that and she was fine with getting everybody in, including the journalist.

They then again persuaded her not to allow any body in while she was testifying; not even her own mother was allowed to get in inside. We all sat in the bangers, with Andile Ncoza, the guy who raped Millicent, sitting next to us! He just sat staring at me with those angry eyes ~ last week while i was driving passing his house he was standing outside, and when he saw my car he was swearing at me and shouted “I’m gonna get you, Bitch!”.

Milly was very nervous testifying as she was alone, and the court was surrounded with cameras … She told me that when she was standing in front of the magistrate facing Andile Ncoza she re-lived the whole ordeal!

1pm was lunch time, and as Andile walked to the shop, all the Luleki Sizwe supporters, Milly’s friends and his niece (who is also a lesbian) were singing a song called “Elizuma lilapha lisenzeli wari”(This rapist is making us worried). He did not want to come out of the shop because the cameras were on him. His niece/Milly’s friend, threw water at him, and some of the women spat in his face!

We spent the whole day in court and only left 4.30pm.

Milly’s next appearance in court is next Wednesday 10-11-10.¨ HERE

ATTN African Anglican Bishops Conference: The Purification or Putrification of MP David ¨Kill the Gays¨ Bahati/Uganda Law?

David Bahati is a man moved by the Leviticus passion that “Homosexuality is an abomination punishable by death.”

The Homosexual Habit ¨is learned and can be unlearned” MP Bahati

David Bahati, Member of Ugandas Parliament, author of ¨Anti-Gay¨ Bill tabled currently before Parliament

¨When David Bahati fronted the Anti Gay Bill in Parliament last year, he caused uproar both at home and abroad that has seen him propelled into the limelight. Behind the vocal legislator however, is a dedicated family man with humble beginnings...

It is not difficult to see humility and people-centredness in Bahati. When I met him for the first time, we sat down and joked about his political life and how he would be trounced by gays if he did not watch his back. He told me he got into politics in 2006 as a way of giving back to the community, which gave so much to him. He had never seen himself as a politician and describes himself as a community worker. Without airs of self importance, Bahati impresses at first sight.

Why fight gays?

Bahati says he has a passion for service and trying to make a difference in people’s lives and also, fighting for what he believes is right. In his words, “One of the things I do is fight for the future of our children. And that is why I fight homosexuality.” Bahati accuses the rich for trying to influence the world with their homosexuality agenda, which he calls a great threat to society and the future generation.

“This habit is learned and can be unlearned,” he adds, quoting the Bible: “Homosexuality is an abomination punishable by death.” When I asked him how, as a Christian, he can advocate for a death penalty, he replied, “It is in Leviticus. Go and read – the penalty for homosexuality is death.”

However, he says the Bill has not been passed yet and whoever is concerned about the death clause should change it, but believes there is nothing more important than keeping Ugandan children morally upright. ”

A Message for ACCEPTANCE, CHRISTIAN LOVE and the INCLUSION of LGBTI Christians/others from Anglican HERO, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Nobel Peace Prize Laureate

¨...I could not myself keep quiet whilst people were being penalized for something about which they could do nothing, their sexuality. For it is so improbable that any sane, normal person would deliberately choose a lifestyle exposing him or her to so much vilification, opprobrium and physical abuse, even death. To discriminate against our sisters and brothers who are lesbian or gay on grounds of their sexual orientation for me is as totally unacceptable and unjust as Apartheid ever was.¨ HERE

Another message for INCLUSION, CHRISTIAN LOVE and ACCEPTANCE of LGBTI Christians/others from Anglican HERO and Ugandan Bishop Christopher Ssenyonjo
(recently preaching at Christ Church Cathedral Dublin, Ireland on part of his World Tour)

Bishop Christopher Ssenyonjo, at The Center for Democratic Progress, Washington D.C.

¨...Turning to the proposed Anti-Homosexuality Bill in Uganda, the Bishop said that "… it criminalises LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender) people to the extent that even the words 'homosexual rights' must never be mentioned...Failure to report an LGBT person within 24 hours would be a crime...and committed homosexuals would face prison sometimes between 3 and 7 years, life imprisonment or even the death sentence." The Bill he said, "… intends to exterminate homosexuals." He continued, "… by the grace of God, some people are speaking against the Bill, President Obama described it as odious."

Urging people in Ireland to oppose the bill he said, "… they [homosexuals] may be different, and they are, but we should live with differences.” He went on to call for education because, "I have found that a lot of the prejudice against LGBT people comes from ignorance." HERE
