As you already know, the "Anti-Homosexuality Bill 2009." was recently tabled before the Parliament of Uganda. The Bill's provisions are draconian and among them are;

• Any person alleged to be homosexual would be at risk of life imprisonment or in some circumstances the death penalty;

• Any parent who does not denounce their lesbian daughter or gay son to the authorities would face fines of $ 2,650.00 or three years in prison;

• Any teacher who does not report a lesbian or gay pupil to the authorities within 24 hours would face the same penalties;

• And any landlord or landlady who happens to give housing to a suspected homosexual would risk 7 years of imprisonment.

• Similarly, the Bill threatens to punish or ruin the reputation of anyone who works with the gay or lesbian population, such as medical doctors working on HIV/AIDS, civil society leaders active in the fields of sexual
and reproductive health, hence further undermining public health efforts
to combat the spread of HIV;

• All of the offences covered by the Bill as drafted can be applied to a Ugandan citizen who allegedly commits them - even outside Uganda!

¨Sexual Minorities Uganda (SMUG) calls upon YOU, our partner, ally and/or FRIEND to action. Denounce this bill through a protest at a Ugandan Diplomatic Mission in your country on November 9th 2009, where applicable.

An outspoken American radio presenter barred from entering Britain said yesterday he would sue the British government for defamation after his name was published on an official list of "promoters of hate".

Michael Savage (right), a so-called "shock jock" radio host who has a right-wing talk show called The Savage Nation, described British Home Secretary (interior minister) Jacqui Smith as a "lunatic" and said he had set his lawyers to work on the case.

Smith published the list - which includes Islamist extremists, American anti-gay preachers and Russian gang members - on Tuesday, accusing those named of "stirring up hatred" and "fostering extremism or hatred".

"For this lunatic Jacqui Smith ... to link me up with skinheads who are killing people in Russia, to put me in league with mass murderers who kill Jews on buses, is defamation," Savage said on his show, excerpts of which were aired on BBC radio yesterday.

"As a result of this, I am going to sue her."

Savage, who says he has between 8 and 10 million listeners across the United States, urged them to support him by canceling any travel plans to Britain and by boycotting goods made in the United Kingdom. click HERE

¨While the word “homosexual” is not in the Bible, the behavior of those who practice homosexuality, and God’s estimation of them, very definitely is. When the word came into existence I cannot tell you, but what we can say for sure is that when Noah Webster published his first dictionary in 1828, it was not included. This means that homosexuality is a modern word invented to replace the word Noah Webster did include, sodomy, defined as a crime against nature. This is historical revisionism in action.


Sodomy is defined in scripture by two things, the first being that of where it began: Sodom. In Genesis 13:13 we have the first mention of the men of Sodom, pronouncing that they “were wicked and sinners before the Lord exceedingly.” Their saga is continued in chapters 18 and 19 with their sin being so great that not only does God say that it “is very grievous,” but he himself comes down to destroy them with fire, the rubble of which still stands as a warning to us today.


While the Genesis account does not graphically describe their sin, leading some to deny it as being the same as homosexuality, their sin is obviously just that by how it is described: lying with mankind as with womankind. What other conclusion can be reached when they want to “know” the men who were in Lot’s house, the same word the Bible uses in Genesis 4 in relation to the conception of Cain? And that Lot himself understood their intentions is clear; not only did he call such behavior wicked, but he also offered his virgin daughters as substitutes, which the men of Sodom refused.

And one more thing: Sodomy is the only sin for which God came down from heaven to destroy. Though God dealt with many other sins in various ways, there is no other for which he came down from heaven to verify and destroy. In the New Testament, sodomy is declared to be “against nature.” And of the men, Paul in Romans 1 says they leave “the natural use of the woman....” In effect, there is no greater sin against God than to reject how he made you, and no greater sin against women than to reject how God made them.


But will the Antichrist be a homosexual? Having seen what the Bible says of sodomy, we have no further to look than the book of Daniel, chapter 11 to find our answer. It says, “Neither shall he [Antichrist] regard... the desire of women....” As I said at the onset, I am not the first to draw attention to this, but the verbiage is clear.


From a lost perspective, the reason sex sells, pornography is profitable, and prostitution is “the world’s oldest profession” is mankind’s desire of women. From Christianity’s position, it is part of the glue for the bond of marriage and the propagation of a godly heritage. But homosexuality does not regard this — in their unbridled lusts they burn for their own gender.


But consider this: The time is ripe for such a leader. Indeed, it should not be surprising that the one who is against everything Biblical and Christian should be a partaker of so great a sin; there is no greater way to reject the Creator than to reject your gender and his design for it. And at what other time have we seen such perversion come out of the closets onto our streets, threatening violence if we do not accept their ways?


Is it any wonder that Revelation 13 says that this same Antichrist will make war with the saints of the tribulation, and overcome them? Are they not now readying themselves to make it illegal to “offend” them in any way, calling it hatred to preach against their sin? Is it because they love us? The time is ripe for such a man.

But remember that sodomy is the one sin that God left heaven and came to earth to destroy. Could it be that this will be the predominate sin on earth when Christ descends from the clouds to fight against the armies of wickedness? And will it be just a coincidence that the Antichrist will be the very first occupant of the lake of fire, tasting eternal death 1,000 years before even the devil himself?¨

Writing in the Mat-Su Valley Frontiersman in an 800 word rant, Pastor Ron Hamman, makes his absurd homophobic case by cherry picking various passages from the Bible, including II Thessalonians, where he quoted Paul talking about the one called “that Wicked.”

Don’t forget the comments section, which shows that the good people of Wasilla has better judgement than the Pastor...

...I must add a reflection. The unfortunate pastor's Bible-reading is only of one half verse. Almost nothing. Further, the verse only says what it says and means what it means. It shouldn't give cause for any mis-understandings or mis-interpretations. Yet it does.

ANTI GAY CHURCH TURNS ITS SIGHTS ON JEWS

¨After years of focusing on gays and lesbians with its protests, the Westboro Baptist Church has a new target — the Jewish community.

The Topeka, Kan.-based church, which features the slogan “God Hates Fags,” protested at three Jewish sites here last Friday afternoon. The protests are part of a series of upcoming rallies that will bring members of the church to Jewish community institutions in Omaha, St. Louis, South Florida and Providence in the next few weeks, according to the church’s Web site and fliers the group is distributing that list scheduled protests and proclaim “Jews Killed the Lord Jesus.”

Led by Pastor Fred Phelps, the 71-member church, according to Anti-Defamation League research, first gained notoriety about a decade ago when it began picketing the funerals of gays or those they thought were gay — including Matthew Shepard, who was the victim of an anti-gay attack.

In recent years, church members frequently have protested outside the funerals of soldiers killed in Iraq and Afghanistan, or at other events that are likely to bring news coverage and, in turn, publicity to the church. One such event was the funeral of three young girls killed in a traffic accident.

While picketing outside the Washington office of the Anti-Defamation League last Friday, Phelps’ daughter Margie told JTA that the group is now focusing on the Jewish community because church members have been “testifying” to gentiles for 19 years that “America is doomed” and they haven’t gotten the message.

“Now it’s too late,” she said. “We’re done with them.”

Margie Phelps added, “one of the loudest voices” in favor of homosexuality and abortion is “the Jews, especially the rabbis.”“They claim to be God’s chosen people,” she said. “Do you think that God is going to wink at that forever?” read it all, click HERE


HATE AND DISCRIMINATION ARE NOT USUALLY RESTRICTED TO ONE MINORITY GROUP

¨Fred Phelps and his group of haters are toothless tigers who aren't worth mentioning, so I'm not even going to mention them, save to use them as but one example of the well known Social Psychological finding that when anyone discriminates against a given minority group, he/she usually discriminates against one or more other minority groups as well.¨

¨So, most people who discriminate against Gay people are also likely to discriminate against one or more other minority groups, such as Jews, African Americans, immigrants, etc.

Therefore, it is not only hypocritical but self-defeating for any person in a minority group to discriminate against any other minority group, for to do so aligns him/herself with those who at the drop of a hat can, and likely will, turn around and discriminate against him/her! So, it's pathetic when an African American minister, Gregory Daniels, states: "If the KKK opposes gay marriage, I would ride with them." read it all, click HERE

¨Make no mistake: those at the forefront of homophobia are no different than were and are the White Supremacists in the U.S.! They are also likely to have contempt for one or more other minority groups, and one plays the fool if he/she is a member of any minority group who discriminates against, or advocates discrimination against, Gay people, or any other minority group for that matter!

Anyone who discriminates against LGBT people just has to wait a little while before his/her advocacy of such discrimination comes back to bite him/her in the rear end in the form of former "allies" becoming his/her arch enemies in order to express the hatred that lies in their hearts!¨

United Nations General Assembly Statement Affirms Rights for All!

66 States Condemn Violations Based on Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity

(New York, December 18, 2008) – ¨In a powerful victory for the principles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, 66 nations at the UN General Assembly today supported a groundbreaking statement confirming that international human rights protections include sexual orientation and gender identity. It is the first time that a statement condemning rights abuses against lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people has been presented in the General Assembly.¨


Notorious fear/hate-mongering LGBT EXCLUDER and Anglican Bishop Greg Venables of Argentina VIOLATES "the principle of non-discrimination, which requires that human rights apply equally to every human being regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity" that ARGENTINA and The Southern Cone of South America promoted and SUPPORTED at The United Nations. Venables has few followers in Argentina and has taken to recruiting anti-LGBT Episcopalians and Anglicans in North America (which is forbidden legally by Canons of his Southern Cone Anglican Province).

¨The statement drew unprecedented support from five continents, including six African nations. ARGENTINA read the statement before the General Assembly. A cross-regional group of states coordinated the drafting of the statement, also including BRAZIL, Croatia, France, Gabon, Japan, the Netherlands, and Norway.

The 66 countries reaffirmed "the principle of non-discrimination, which requires that human rights apply equally to every human being regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity." They stated they are "deeply concerned by violations of human rights and fundamental freedoms based on sexual orientation or gender identity," and said that "violence, harassment, discrimination, exclusion, stigmatization and prejudice are directed against persons in all countries in the world because of sexual orientation or gender identity."

Archbishop Pete Akinola and +Martyn Minns of The Anglican Church of NIGERIA whose House of Bishops support the arresting, punishing/jailing and persecuting of LGBT people, their friends/supporters, their families and their ¨Hooligan children¨ who assemble together in PUBLIC or wish to OPENLY worship at Church together with other Anglicans.

The participating countries urged all nations to "promote and protect human rights of all persons, regardless of sexual orientation and gender identity," and to end all criminal penalties against people because of their sexual orientation or gender identity.¨


¨According to calculations by ILGA (the International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Intersex Association) and other organizations, more than six dozen countries still have laws against consensual sex between adults of the same sex. Presiding Bishop Katharine Jefferts Schori of The Episcopal Church, The United States, is in full support of The United Nations statement which condemned killings, torture, arbitrary arrest, and "deprivation of economic, social and cultural rights, including the right to health." In addition, Presiding Bishop Jefferts Schori enthusiastically supports the WELCOMING and FULL INCLUSION of LGBT Christians at all levels of Episcopal Churchlife.

¨In the United States, Amnesty International has documented serious patterns of police abuse against lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people, including incidents amounting to torture and ill-treatment. The United States refused to sign the General Assembly statement.¨

Anglican Bishop Mouneer H. Anis, EGYPT, LGBT excluder and demonizer of Lesbian and Gay Christians/others and GAFCON Anglican Communion destructionist accomplice.

¨In Egypt, Human Rights Watch documented a massive crackdown on men suspected of homosexual conduct between 2001-2004, in which hundreds or thousands of men were arrested and tortured. EGYPT actively opposed the General Assembly statement.

Bishop Benjamin Nzimbi of KENYA is another GAFCON Anglican Communion destructionist. +Nzimbi supports the marginalizing of LGBT Christians/others and condemns and forbids Gay or Lesbian Christians to serve or OPENLY participate at all levels of Kenyan Churchlife.

The International Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission has documented how, in many African countries, sodomy laws and prejudice deny rights protections to Africans engaged in same-sex practices amid the HIV/AIDS pandemic – and can actually criminalize outreach to affected groups.

The signatories overcame intense opposition from a group of governments that regularly try to block UN attention to violations based on sexual orientation and gender identity. Only 57 states signed an alternative text promoted by the Organization of the Islamic Conference. In a significant reversal, however, the Holy See indicated to the General Assembly today that it called for repeal of criminal penalties for homosexual conduct.

"The Holy See continues to advocate that every sign of unjust discrimination toward homosexual persons should be avoided and urges States to do away with criminal penalties against them.¨

This year is the 60th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and the General Assembly statement reaffirms the reach and breadth of UDHR principles. The statement is non-binding, but restates what UN human rights bodies have repeatedly said: that no one should face rights violations because of their sexual orientation and gender identity.¨

Ms. Navanetham Pillay UN High Commissioner for Human Rights

¨Navanetham Pillay, the UN high commissioner for human rights, strongly supported the statement. In a videotaped message, she cited South Africa's 1996 decision to protect sexual orientation in its Constitution. She pointed to the "task and challenge to move beyond a debate on whether all human beings have rights," to "secure the climate for implementation."


¨Since the Human Rights Committee's landmark decision in 1994, United Nations experts have repeatedly acted against abuses that target lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people, including killings, torture, rape, violence, disappearances, and discrimination in many areas of life. UN treaty bodies have called on states to end discrimination in law and policy.¨

The Bishop of Rochester, Church of England and leading GAFCON Anglican Communion destructionist, Dr Michael Nazir-Ali, is against including LGBT Anglicans at all levels of Churchlife.

¨Other international bodies have also opposed violence and discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity, including the Council of Europe and the European Union. In 2008, all 34 member countries of the Organization of American States unanimously approved a declaration affirming that human rights protections extend to sexual orientation and gender identity.¨


The Anglican Archbishop of UGANDA, Henri Orombi, has recently initiated a ¨witch-hunt¨ against LGBT people at ALL levels of Society in Uganda and needs to NOTE, and act, immediately on the principles of ¨non-discrimination and violation of fundamental freedoms¨ and STOP the instigating of HATE CRIMES against his fellow citizens. In addition, Orombi is attempting to poach on and/or steal Episcopal Church property in the United States of America by cultivating anti-lgbt Christians who would demonize and marginalize other Christians at various levels of Churchlife where they have been ¨called¨ to serve. Orombi believes that Homosexuality was imported to Uganda by foreigners.

¨Earlier in the day, the General Assembly also adopted a resolution condemning extrajudicial executions, which contained a reference opposing killings based on sexual orientation. UGANDA moved to delete that reference, but the General Assembly rejected this by 78-60.
