BISHOP AKINOLA HARANGUES: The Global South lacks ¨dicipline¨ and the ¨courage to call a spade a spade¨

The Global South Obedience to God is ¨Selective¨ +Peter Akinola

BISHOP AKINOLA, NO DOUBT ABOUT IT! YOU´VE GOT IT! PREACHING EXCLUSION, MARGINALIZING and the FLAT OUT REJECTION of PROGRESSIVE ANGLICANS AMONGST ALL OF GODS CHILDREN is SIMPLY WRONG!

GODS INCLUSIVE LOVE and the GREAT COMMANDMENT is that WE LOVE GOD and ONE ANOTHER. THAT WOULD MEAN ALL ONE ANOTHERS!

LOVING ONE ANOTHER WON´T HAPPEN AT THE BODY OF CHRIST IF THERE CONTINUES TO BE BOYCOTTING AT COMMUNION, DISCRIMINATION, LOATHING and DIFFERENCE PREACHED AGAINST LGBT CHRISTIANS/others at your homeland of NIGERIA or Orombi´s UGANDA nor at Drexel Gomezs´ JAMAICA. WE´LL HAVE NO UNITY IF THERE CONTINUES TO BE A CAMPAIGN FOR SCHISMATIC, RESTRICTED, SPRITUALLY DECEPTIVE, HOLIER-THAN-THOU, PRIVATE PROVINCIAL GATHERINGS of THE GLOBAL SOUTH!
Leonardo Ricardo

Amongst the ¨invited¨ Glober Southers some line up to pay their respects to Archbishop Chew

¨This, sadly, is the eighth year since we have not all been in communion with one another, globally, in the same Anglican Church. It appears that some of our leaders value the ageing structures of the communion much more than anything else, hence, the illusion that with more meetings, organisations and networks the crises will disappear. How wrong.

We all know that signing the covenant will not stop TEC from pursuing its own agenda. In fact only recently, it elected and confirmed another openly practicing lesbian priest to the episcopate. The Communion is still unable to exercise discipline. We are God’s Covenant to the world, yes, but we are divided. We lack discipline. We lack the courage to call ‘a spade a spade’. Our obedience to God is selective.¨ Retired Archbishop, Peter Akinola, Nigeria HERE

Akinola's words are more of the same of his bigoted rhetoric. What worries me more are this morning's text of the ABCs video chat to the "Global South" Akinola is correct in that a Covenant is a binding agreement, which is why we shouldn't have one. Binding oneself to bigotry is of the devil, not of Christ.
