Wintereinbruch in Deutschland: Darum können wir Schnee riechen

Kurz bevor die ersten Flocken fallen, liegt ein besonderer Duft in der
Luft, behaupten manche Menschen. Forscher erklären, was da dran ist.

I knew I should have bought a bottle of sparkling cider yesterday!
AND... I have now voted for TWO presidential winners in 32 years of voting.
PRAISE GOD FROM WHOM ALL BLESSINGS FLOW!!!
I am so happy I can hardly contain myself.
Leonardo... The painting is spectacular!!!
My daughter and I were with friends from church when the news broke. We are all so gratefyul...
grateful :)
Me too...I´m in my room, all day, mostly alone, watching international TV, reading blogs and thinking thoughts of goodness for humanity...no more lies, no more pretend...finally, truth and REALITY are winning out!
Love to all,
Leonardo
Hi Leonardo--YES, YES, YES!
We are still waiting for NC to be called. With 99 percent of the vote in, it is still too close to call. Obama has carried our county.
One of the biggest blessings in all of this is that we have hopefully seen the end of the smirk and wink, wink brigade. Amen!
Still concerned about Prop 8 but it is almost 1:00 am and we are going to go to bed.
Sweet dreams to all and tomorrow a bright new day dawning.
Leo...,
Where's Juan Carlos?
afterall,..he is you're man?!?
LOL, Juan Carlos is not un ¨Americano¨ and wasn´t much interested in being glued to my TV screen...he has his own computer and TV in his room...all is well, he´s fine and this morning making omlets for us and two guests.
Bonnie, I´ve gotta catch up too...I went to bed with a smile on my face but know nothing yet about California...now!
Little by little, step by step...
Love to all,
Len
While I am happy with the results of the pres. election, I am wondering why the rights of chickens, while important, is more important than the rights of my gay and lesbian friends???
Hi Leonardo--Well NC still has not been called. What a cliff hanger. Looks like Prop. 8 will have to wait for the absentee ballot count.
Obama's victory is such a proud moment in our history.
Dear Leslie, Thanks for your support...it´s the Mormons and it´s the Dominionists with all that money pouring gasoline on to the flames of fear and sometimes hate...I´m afraid we´re not quite equal yet in many eyes and the opponents of justice and equality will lie, cheat and steal...but we know that already...look at David Schofield, Duncan Pitts, Armstrong, Venables and Martyn Minns, Orombi and Akinola...they will try and keep their little corner of rot spreading by spewing abominating and excluding filth...it´s far easier than keeping a eye on their own dismal personal integrity...that´s how it works, shame and blame and more abuse...but, it won´t work anymore...stay tuned.
Thanks Bonnie, it´s not like LGBT Americans are prepared to continue along...we´ve not lost heart...we NEVER have lost heart or gone away and we´re alway part of society, our families and amongst our friends...nobody can take us away.
Just in, 8 has passed. I am so sorry and so upset. I cannot believe with all the good that happened last night people are still so bigoted.
I´m sorry for that bad NEWS...however, there has been so much good news, as you say, it´s hard for me to get angry about what I have always known to be true of the ignorant...I´ve listened to nonsense about LGBT people for a lifetime and the storyline never improves...just plain silly and harmful to our culture and the good spiritual/emotional health of OUR REAL families.
tongue firmly planted in sarcastic cheek...
Look at it this way: now that the rights of chickens are firmly in place, Californians can move on to the secondary issues such as gay marriage. Imagine all the money that might have been wasted in the courts if all those chickens started a string of law suits. Public interest and all.
Californians for equal rights: wear them all down until they see the light. Take advantage of the state system in place, and put a constitutional amendment supporting gay marriage on the ballot every election cycle.
Perhaps you could also make some political deals with the free-range chicken lobby?
