¨While visiting with our troops in Afghanistan today, President Obama called to inform me that he will nominate Judge Sonia Sotomayor to be the next Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court.

Judge Sotomayor has a long and distinguished career on the federal bench. She has been nominated by both Democratic and Republican presidents, and she was twice confirmed by the Senate with strong, bipartisan support. Her record is exemplary.

Federal Judge Sonia Sotomayor

Judge Sotomayor's nomination is an historic one, and when confirmed she will become the first Hispanic Justice, and just the third woman to sit on the nation's highest court. Having a Supreme Court that better reflects the diversity of America helps ensure that we keep faith with the words engraved in Vermont marble over the entrance of the Supreme Court: "Equal justice under law" read it all, click HERE

David my friend, the GOP has offered no fresh thinking since the Civil War...it´s almost embarassing to see their fallen idiots prance around still living in their world of boldfaced pretend...these, once, and sometimes believeable gents have now joined the ranks of blowhards and everyday frauds...the depth of their shallowness and meanspiritedness will no doubt sink further down in the rancid tarpits of our lifetime...who would have guessed they have become such obvious fools...they really ought get rid of Representative Boehner as their mouthpeace...he´s plain swarmy and emptyheaded.

I meant mouthpiece...whatever, you can have the whole clump of him, and his surly grumping...I´ll throw in the mouth FREE! All I can say is that is probably best they have NO ONE that seems even remotely interesting in their Leadership...when did they become so completely classless?

Funny that the choice of Judge Sotomayor can be seen as such a novelty.

She seems a good and qualified candidate.

Why aren't all? All the time?

My guess, because the greedy exploiters always have a immoral agenda that has to do with massaging decency to fit their cravings for power, faux prestige and MONEY, these dudes, and they are men, discriminate against other citizens...you see, this particular group, including some sitting justices, are self-righteous bigots who are so sick they believe themselves to be wise, fairminded and clean (Clarence Thomas comes to mind immediately)! They need you, dear Göran, to help them understand/translate REALITY!
